Fall Catch-Up (or Why I Haven't Posted in Forever...)

So...I haven't posted much since the end of September. I've also been AFK (away from keyboard) on Instagram. I've posted maybe 5 posts total in the last couple of weeks? I can't remember. Anyway, instead of a boring "excuse", I've got some tea to spill bestie! So sit back, grab a cuppa, and read on!

You all remember how I was celebrating my 41st birthday a month ago, right? Well, it ended up being the start of my slow down phase I am currently going through. See, that day, I was going to get an astrology reading from my astrologer, Jane, and then I was hoping to have a person booked for my birthday. But no one booked. And I was offering some AMAZING deals! And no one booked. So instead, I sat around, ordered Pizza Hut pizza, watched TV and listened to music annnnnd...did nothing! And it continued throughout that entire weekend. And eventually, it turned into a couple of weeks.

Just as I was gaining my energy back to resume posting blogs and Instagram content, my dad fell in the shower. He had a neurologist appointment the following day for results on an electroencephalograph. But the neurologist made him go to the hospital because he is on a medication called Plavix. It works as a blood thinner. And because he hit his head, he could die any day in his sleep if he broke a blood vessel.

So they ordered a CT scan. Nothing came up on the CT scan, other than his veins were 88% closed. My dad, who is a stubborn Agent Orange-sprayed Vietnam vet, was cussing up a storm and left the hospital (my apologies to the nurses and doctors who dealt with my dad and patients like him). We didn't get any results, from the neurologist or the doctors. The doctor wanted my dad to stay overnight. But my dad refused. He wanted a coffee and cigarette IMMEDIATELY!

So I have not only been dealing with creative energy burnout, but also worrying about my dad. I even wrote poems about my dad that will one day be published when the time is right.

Things have settled down (for now). He fell again trying to take his socks off, but he didn't hit his head this time. He fell on his butt. Luckily, no broken bones. But he seems back to himself. But he refuses to go to any more doctors. He hasn't made a new appointment with the neurologist. And he hasn't followed up with his vein doctor like he was supposed to. My mom doesn't want to force him (can you see how I turned out?)

I hope to resume posting content on both Instagrams this week. And I hope to have a new blog post written next week. I was going to do a pick-a-card video for the blog, but I just don't have much energy right now to do a full pick-a-card video. And I wanted it to be like a Kloee Taylor reading or Kino Tarot Reading on YouTube. They go pretty in-depth. And I want to be my best when I do these readings. I also need to conserve my energy as I'm doing FREE three-card tarot readings on October 18th and October 25th at Totem Books, and doing readings all weekend at Turn The Page Used Books on October 17th - 19th.  I'll post the flyers below with more information.

I'll get back to doing reels probably in November. For now, there will just be carousel posts and regular posts on Instagram. I hope to write a blog about the Nine's in tarot. I will be pondering and researching what the number nine means in tarot.

Thank you all for being here. You are so appreciated and thank you for understanding. 💖🙏
