Back to Reality Tarot Spread

Back to Reality Tarot Spread

This tarot spread is for the students returning to school and for the people who are returning to work after having a summer vacation or Labor Day weekend here in the States. I got inspiration from the song in the Honey Nut Cheerios commercial that played throughout August in the United States (watch the commercial here).

The Back to Reality tarot spread is a quick four-card spread to help you ground into the transition. It focuses on your current thoughts (such as excitement, nervousness, anxious etc) and feelings surrounding going back to school or work,  challenges you may face that could hold you back (such as time management, workload etc.), some practical advice to make the year most successful, and what will help you feel emotionally engaged, motivated, and positive throughout the transition. Let's take a look at the spread!

  1. Current Approach – How you’re currently thinking about or handling your return to school/work. Are you nervous, anxious, excited? What is your biggest fear or worry about this transition?

  2. Biggest Obstacle – The main challenge that could hold you back (time management, confidence, workload, etc.).

  3. Strategy for Success – A practical step or focus area that will help you perform well and stay on track. It can be anything such as taking notes on your laptop and remembering to back up your computer, be a little bit more spontaneous or plan things out more, or even breaking down big tasks into smaller tasks.

  4. Motivation & Mindset – What will help you stay emotionally engaged, motivated, and positive through the transition. This card can be an affirmation, mantra, or even something you can look forward to in the transition! Such as social gatherings, mixers, pep rallies, or even the weekend!

Let me know if you take this spread for a drive! I would love to hear your thoughts on this tarot spread!

Happy Back to Reality, everyone!
